BATTLE OF COLUMBIA
Historical Flags
The students of Foundation Christian School were able to attend the local displays of the reenactment of the Battle of Columbia. These flags with their historical significance were provided.
Bagpiper
We enjoyed a presentation about bagpipes, their history, their use in the Civil War, and a demonstration of how they are played.
Example of a Soldier
We enjoyed several historical personalities, which each individual had chosen to research and represent: a doctor, a minister, and variously ranking soldiers.
Example of the Women
The students enjoyed the various historical women's personalities with period costumes, photographs, and memoribilia.
The Closing
The closing ceremony included a demonstration of marksmanship and riding with a display of the Confederate Flag. Small Battle Flags were passed out to each attender.
This is an historical representation and in no wise intends to promote war or other biases.
